Downtown Ottawa is unlike any other neighbourhood in a major Canadian city. With a unique blend of both commercial and residential properties, this European-style downtown core offers more than recreation and historical attractions. It also has a variety of living options for both newcomers and long-time residents.

Osgoode Properties has six locations in different parts of downtown Ottawa including Centretown, Bronson Avenue, Riverside Drive and Walkley Road. Each one features premium amenities that give tenants luxurious living with the allure of a downtown location.

Kingsview Apartments (1725 Riverside Drive), bordering the east side of the Rideau River, offers heated underground parking, laundry facilities, balconies, hardwood floors and river views in select suites.

In the heart of Centretown, just south of the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway, is Riverside Towers (89 Forward Avenue). This community is just minutes from the Ottawa River Parkway, the best area in the city for running and bicycling along the Ottawa River. In addition to an outdoor pool and river views in select suites, the NCC Rideau River parkland is literally at the building’s doorstep.

Central Ottawa is famous for both the city conveniences and natural beauty. As the capital of Canada, the city is well known for its cultural attractions, from the world famous Rideau Canal and Locks, to art museums and historical landmarks. Overlooking the downtown core, only a few minutes west of the Rideau Shopping Centre, is Parliament Hill. A short walk south is the Canadian Museum of Nature and Confederation Park.

Ottawa is an expanding city, including the eclectic Bank Street, only a short distance west from The Oaks (2295 Albion Road North) and The Richlin (1500 Walkley Road). Bank Street is rich with commercial and residential spaces that appeal to a variety of tastes and interests. Dining options range from upscale meals at La Strada to casual takeout from Kattleman’s Bagels.

Bank Street is rivaled only by ByWard 03-Market with its endless variety of pubs, restaurants, bookstores and specialty shops packed in the very heart of Centretown.

Although all the amenities of the downtown core are available within walking distance, OC Transpo services major routes in any direction along Slater Street and Albert Street. Major stations run along these locations in addition to the top floor of the Rideau Shopping Centre. Routes 94, 95 and 97 are among the few throughout the city that run long after midnight.

The conveniences and charm don’t end at the borders of the downtown core. West of Centretown is Chinatown and Little Italy along Bronson Avenue. Bronson Avenue is home of The 07-Juliana (100 Bronson Avenue), one of the most grand and upscale properties in Ottawa. Some of its luxuries include a top-floor lounge, en suite bathrooms and Ottawa River views.
