At Osgoode Properties we believe that businesses should operate in a sustainable manner. We are therefore committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance. It is our priority to encourage our residents, suppliers and all business associates to do the same. Osgoode was the first property manager in the greater Kingston area, enrolled in the CRBP (Certified Rental Building Program), to re-certify with the new Environmental Standards of the "Living Green Together" program and to receive official status. All of Osgoode's Ontario properties are now certified.

Osgoode Properties provides recycling services at all of our properties so that all residents may reduce the amount of trash they send to landfill. Each of our buildings is unique, and most were constructed before recycling became common practice. Nevertheless, we have overcome the construction obstacles to ensure recycling methods are made accessible to our residents.

Osgoode Properties is continually seeking to implement energy saving measures in order to reduce overall energy and resource consumption.
In Ottawa and Kingston, all of our buildings have been retrofitted with water saving toilets, shower heads, and faucet aerators. Since 2001, these measures have allowed our residents to save millions of cubic metres of water.
Beginning in 2000, Osgoode commenced retrofitting all of our residential buildings to convert common-area incandescent lighting to lower energy compact fluorescent lighting. In 2008, we began a program converting all in-suite light fixtures from incandescent to compact fluorescent. These measures help reduce electrical consumption at each building, reducing both Osgoode Properties' energy costs, as well as the energy costs for our tenants that pay their own hydro.
Beginning in 2014, Osgoode introduced an environmental policy where possible supplies and cleaning products with no or low chemical emissions are to be used by building staff and contractors. This policy also extends to the use of no or low VOC materials and products. These measures have been implemented to reduce air contaminates for residents, contractors and staff.
