Chat Up Those Future Neighbours
Befriending your neighbours and being an active member of the apartment community is about more than just enjoying a social life. Building relationships with the people living around you offers a network of support when you aren’t home. These connections can be valuable, even if it’s just someone to water your plants, grab your mail, or simply keep an eye on your place while you’re away. So, get chatting with those neighbours!
Secure Package Delivery
No one likes having a package stolen right from their front door. That’s why we have security measures in place in all of our buildings to prevent theft and eliminate the need for delivery people to come directly to your front door. At most of our properties, we have Snaily Boxes ready to be used by our residents for safe and secure delivery and storage. If Snaily Boxes are not available, ask a trusted neighbour to bring the package inside for you. Keeping yourself safe comes down to the small details, even your deliveries!

Holding the Door Open
Each resident is given a key fob to enter our properties, as well as codes and methods to let guests in and out of the building. Remembering this is essential to keep uninvited visitors out of your building. Holding the door open for someone is a lovely thing to do, just not when it comes to the safety of each of our residents!
Pay Attention to your Digital Footprint
Staying digitally savvy is just like putting on sunscreen on a hot summer day: Protection is key! In the age of social media and posting our lives for the world to see, being careful with what you share online is essential. Personal safety doesn’t just stop at door locks and doorbell cameras; this also applies to what you post online. Avoid sharing that you live alone, where valuables might be, the layout of your home, or that you might be out. Staying vigilant about your digital footprint is another layer of security, and it's just as crucial to staying safe.

Curtain Call
Close those curtains to keep prying eyes away so you can keep your private life, well, private! Whether you’re on the 30th or 1st floor, protecting yourself and your home starts with how much people can see through your windows. It’s not just about personal privacy; obscuring the view into your home can prevent potential intruders from getting a sneak peek at the layout of your living space and eyeing any valuable belongings you may have. This is a simple yet effective way to deter would-be watchers and keep your sanctuary just that – a safe and secure slice of paradise.
Investing in Your Home Security
Whether this is a door camera or a renter-friendly security system, putting systems in place to protect your home allows you to monitor the exterior of your apartment, leaving little room for surprises. Door cameras are beneficial when dealing with unwanted characters or package theft; having this on video can help if you need to identify the person for the police or your landlord. These home security systems are easy to get and even more straightforward to set up, leaving little room for error or worry. Invest in your security and sleep easy at night!
Transforming your apartment into a secure paradise is all about taking smart, proactive steps toward your personal safety. Upgrading locks, getting to know those who live and work in the building, monitoring what you post on social media, and more can help give you that extra peace of mind.
